Publication decisions rest with the Editor-in-Chief on the recommendation of the editorial board and the Journal's referees.
Dr. Spohn is a member of the finance faculty at Lynn University, where he developed and launched the university's Bachelor of Science in Wealth Management and led curriculum and assessment for the College of Business and Management.
He holds a Doctor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Florida, a Master of Jurisprudence in Wealth Management from Texas A&M University, a Master of Business Administration in International Business from Florida International University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Liberty University, along with a certificate in cryptocurrency from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a Chartered Wealth Manager® and a Fellow of the Global Academy of Finance and Management®.
His research spans wealth management, behavioral finance, financial resilience, private credit, and market forecasting models, with publications in The Journal of Wealth Management, Borsa Istanbul Review, the Journal of Applied Business and Economics, and other refereed outlets, alongside regular presentations at national finance and business-education conferences. A longtime referee for scholarly journals in finance and management — among them Managerial Finance and the Journal of Management Development — he brings deep familiarity with the peer-review process to the Journal's editorial standards. He is a member of the American Finance Association, the Western Finance Association, and the Financial Management Association.
As Manager and Publishing Editor, Tabitha Zapalski directs the Journal's operations and publication process — managing manuscript flow and author correspondence, coordinating copyediting and proofs, and overseeing production of each issue at appliedwm.com. Dr. Rao is a member of the business faculty at Lynn University, where she helps lead the College of Business and Management and works closely with full-time and adjunct faculty to sustain academic excellence. She teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate programs, with expertise in management and leadership, computer management systems, strategy, and innovation.
She serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors of the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE), a global programmatic accrediting agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. She has also served on the boards of nonprofit organizations and has volunteered on international projects focused on curriculum development for educational institutions. The author of several books, she has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and contributed chapters to multiple volumes on higher education. Her research interests include gamification, student engagement, pedagogy, leadership styles, and accreditation.
Mr. Entrekin is a member of the faculty at Lynn University and an economist with more than two decades of university teaching experience in economics, statistics, money and banking, and research methods. He holds a graduate degree in applied economics, is a repeat recipient of excellence-in-teaching awards, and has published research in the field. He is a member of Hillsdale College's Free Market Forum and anchors the Journal's methodological and statistical review standards.
As President, Dr. Zapalski oversees the Journal as an institution — its governance, partnerships, and long-term direction — while editorial and publication decisions rest with the Editor-in-Chief and the editorial board.
He is a member of the business faculty at Lynn University, with teaching and research interests in business analytics, statistics, taxation, and business modeling. He holds a law degree, an advanced law degree, and a doctorate in business administration. His scholarship has appeared in The Journal of Wealth Management and in refereed conference proceedings, with regular presentations at national business-education and management conferences. He is a member of Hillsdale College's Free Market Forum.
